Giới thiệu IB Internal Assessment
Internal Assessment (IA) là bài nghiên cứu độc lập mà mỗi học sinh IB phải hoàn thành cho hầu hết các môn học. IA chiếm 20–25% tổng điểm môn học. Giáo viên chấm (internal), IB kiểm định (moderation).

5 Nguyên tắc vàng cho MỌI IA
- Chọn đề tài bạn thật sự quan tâm — đây là yếu tố số 1. Sự hứng thú sẽ thể hiện qua từng trang.
- Hỏi giáo viên sớm và thường xuyên — họ là người chấm điểm.
- Đọc criteria trước khi viết — đây là rubric chấm điểm. Biết criteria = biết cần làm gì.
- Academic honesty — cite mọi nguồn, không plagiarise.
- Quản lý thời gian — IA cần 20–40 giờ. Bắt đầu sớm!

Bài viết 12–20 trang khám phá một chủ đề toán học. Không phải bài nghiên cứu khoa học — là exploration (khám phá tò mò). Hãy viết bằng giọng "chuyến phiêu lưu toán học" của bạn.
Assessment Criteria

Lỗi thường gặp
- Đề tài quá rộng — Hẹp hơn = tốt hơn. VD: không "calculus" mà "optimising can dimensions".
- Không có personal engagement — Viết như copy textbook.
- Toán quá đơn giản (SL dùng toán IGCSE) hoặc quá khó (copy không hiểu).
- Không giải thích — Chỉ tính toán mà không nói tại sao.
- Thiếu reflection — Cần discuss limitations và extensions.

Model approach: Minimum Wage Increase
Ví dụ mẫu — "Vietnam considers raising minimum wage by 6%"
Diagram
Labour market (wage on y-axis, quantity of labour on x-axis). Show S(L) and D(L). New minimum wage above equilibrium → surplus of labour = unemployment.
Analysis
Apply theory of price floors. Minimum wage above equilibrium creates surplus. Firms face higher costs → may reduce hiring (especially low-skill sectors). Workers who keep jobs benefit. Link to elasticity: if D(L) inelastic, unemployment increase is small.
Evaluation
Short run vs long run. Monopsony labour market (Vietnam's manufacturing): min wage may INCREASE employment. Stakeholders: workers (+income), firms (−profit), government (+tax, −welfare). Inflation: higher wages → cost-push inflation?

Chọn 2 sources quan trọng nhất. Đánh giá OPVL cho mỗi source.

IA là cơ hội để bạn thể hiện đam mê học thuật. Hãy chọn đề tài bạn thật sự muốn khám phá — sự hứng thú sẽ thể hiện rõ trong bài và examiner sẽ nhận ra.
Không cần hoàn hảo. Cần chân thực và suy ngẫm. Một IA 7 điểm không phải là IA không có lỗi — mà là IA biết nhận ra và phản ánh về giới hạn của mình.
