The most rigorous and holistic pre-university qualification in the world. Six subjects, Theory of Knowledge, a 4,000-word Extended Essay and CAS — all in two years.

The most demanding — and most rewarding — diploma in the world.

The IGCSE — International General Certificate of Secondary Education — is a globally recognised qualification typically taken between ages 14 and 16. It is designed, examined and awarded by the University of Cambridge (and also offered by Edexcel/Pearson), and it is the single most important credential your child will earn before A-Level, IB Diploma or university admissions.

In Vietnam, IGCSE is offered at virtually every international school — BIS, BVIS, ISHCMC, SSIS, EIS, TAS and many others. But international school classrooms are built for the average of 20 students, not for your child. Times Edu is where students come to close gaps, push past plateaus and turn predicted B grades into final A*s.

Why IGCSE matters

Strong IGCSE results directly determine your child's A-Level or IB subject choices, influence university offers (many UK universities include IGCSE grades in their conditional offers), and build the academic foundation that determines every step afterwards. A single C grade in IGCSE Maths can quietly close doors that should have stayed open.

How Times Edu is different

We assign one dedicated mentor per student — usually a CIE-registered examiner or a specialist with a 10+ year track record teaching the exact syllabus your child is sitting. No rotating tutors. No generic worksheets. Every lesson is built around your child's most recent mock paper.

Every IB Diploma subject, specialist-led.

Click any subject to see the full syllabus breakdown, exam structure, common pitfalls, results and FAQ — with a free diagnostic booking for every one.

Two years. Six subjects. One plan.

The IB Diploma is a marathon, not a sprint. Here is how Times Edu structures a full two-year engagement.

Term 1 · DP1

Orientation

Setting subject-specific targets, scaffolding study habits and establishing the TOK + EE timeline.

Term 2–4 · DP1

Content build

Weekly HL/SL content teaching, Paper 1 drills, first drafts of the Extended Essay proposal.

Term 5–6 · DP2

IA completion

Every Internal Assessment marked, drafted, redrafted and polished to a grade-7 finish.

Term 6 · DP2

Mocks & exams

Full mock paper series, TOK exhibition prep, final EE submission, May exam sitting.

Four principles that define every Times Edu lesson.

Our coaching philosophy has been shaped by seven years of teaching IGCSE students inside international schools across Vietnam.

01

Syllabus-first

Every lesson maps directly to a numbered learning objective in the official Cambridge or Edexcel syllabus.

02

Past-paper driven

We do not teach from textbooks alone. Real past papers from the last 8 years anchor every session.

03

Examiner feedback

Every homework is marked against the real mark scheme — with examiner commentary your child can actually use.

04

Parent visibility

Monthly progress reports, grade predictions and a dedicated WhatsApp channel with your child's mentor.

What our IGCSE students actually achieve.

I finished the IB Diploma with 42 points including three HL 7s. Without my Times Edu mentor I would not have survived the Extended Essay alone — let alone the three HLs.

My daughter was at 28 predicted, terrified of the final exams. Times Edu rebuilt her subject by subject. She finished with 38 and an offer from UCL.

The TOK and Extended Essay support was the game-changer. Nowhere else in Vietnam actually knows how to teach the IB Core. Times Edu does.

Everything you want to ask before starting.

Still have questions? Book a free 60-minute diagnostic and our academic advisor will answer every one.

Can you tutor just one IB subject, or do we need the whole package?

Either works. Many students come to us for a single HL — typically Maths AA HL or Physics HL — while continuing the rest at school. Others take a full-Diploma package including TOK and EE support. Your free diagnostic will help us recommend the right scope.

Do you help with the Extended Essay and Internal Assessments?

Yes — and this is where we are unique in Vietnam. Our EE and IA coaches have written their own Extended Essays, examined IAs for IB, and know exactly how to help your child hit the top of every criterion. We offer dedicated EE and IA support packages.

How much does IBDP tutoring cost?

Our IB mentoring starts from $80 per 90-minute session, reflecting the specialised nature of the Diploma and the seniority of our IB coaches. Full details on our Tuition page.

My child is predicted 34 — is it too late to aim higher?

Absolutely not. We routinely lift predicted scores by 4–6 points over a single academic year. The key is starting early and focusing on the highest-yield subjects and IA components. Book a diagnostic and we will show you exactly where the points are hiding.

Do you teach both Maths AA and Maths AI?

Yes — both Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation, at both HL and SL. These are two very different courses and we have specialist mentors for each.

Can you prepare students for the May or November sessions?

Both. The May session is the larger sitting and the one most international schools use. We also fully support November candidates — private and school-based.

Two years. 45 points. One dedicated mentor.

Book a free 60-minute IBDP diagnostic and receive a full subject-by-subject prediction, a TOK + EE timeline, and a two-year roadmap personalised to your child's target universities. Worth $60 — free for the first 50 families.
